Promoting Your Mixtape With A Blog : Part 6 Releasing A Mixtape Online Series Promoting Your Mixtape With A Blog: Part 6 Releasing A Mixtape Series 🎹 My Blog 👉: http://bit.ly/N0lTYx Sub My Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/corporatethief?sub_confirmation=1 This has to be one of my favorite ways to promote music online. I have been blogging for a number of years now and it's the focal point of how i promote my music online. Between blogging and vlogging about my music and the music industry I have been able to use this form of content sharing, to help attract the audience that I want to purchase my rap beats. Most of my traffic for my website comes from Blogging/Vlogging from the search results of Google and Youtube. Google loves written content. This is how you get found in the search results of Google. Most of the people that come to purchase my music do so by visiting my blog at some point. Creating blog content is a much easier process than it's perceived. The main way I create blogs is that I create videos about the music I like, the music I make or I vlog about the music industry. Then I get create writers to write articles about the content that I speak about in these video vlogs. Creating blog content can be very time-consuming. For this reason, the majority of the time outsource this type of work to specific writers on I writer or on Freelancer. Once they have created a blog I add it to my website with my video. I then promote the blog on social media for the audience that I want to attract to read. This gives music listeners a reason or a purpose to come to my website. Once they get comfortable with who I am then the start to buy my rap beats from my website or help promote my music to their friends and followers. Also search engines like Google and Bing crawl my written content and add my blog to their search results. This in turn creates the bulk of the traffic that hits my website. I a lot of artists that listen to my music marketing vlogs will ignore this section to their own downfall. Most rappers assume that when they release a mixtape on the internet they have to upload it to one of the bigger mixtape hosting websites. Where I believe that this is not the best way to go about your mixtape release. Having control over the launch of you mixtape is much more important. It's for this reason I firmly believe that any rappers that are thinking about releasing a mixtape, they should place a ton of emphasis on hosting their mixtape on their own website. The price starting your own website is for literally pennies these days. I have outline everything here in this step by step guide on how to set up a website and use the tools that mixtape site give you to host you mixtape on your own website. http://bit.ly/2jqLkIa This is the best place to start when releasing your mixtape. You are not beholden to the fees and the other members that are on these mixtape sites. I think I have used the Datpiff example of how cluttered some mixtape websites are getting these days. I don't rappers should be sending all of their hard earned money and TIME to mixtape upload sites that only give them limited options for exposure. Sure mixtape sites have fancy tools and apps that you can use, but most of these sites give you these tools like HTML5 players to embed on you own website. So you can upload your mixtape on a site like http://bit.ly/2owMaXc take the embed code for your music player and only promote your website. If you keep sending all your traffic to a website that you don't own or control you will never build anything that's going to enable your fans to bond with you.
